I´ll continue from yesterday. The subway was a wild ride and I´m so glad we did it. People from all over the world riding an underground train. Just jump across the platform and hang on! We got off the subway and there was the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. And a giant city to go with it. We walked around like tourists with our mouths open and looking in awe at everything (don´t be obvious or anything). We walked a few blocks to Times Square. It was just as you imagine, billboards, electronic billboards, people, people and more people. They were filming Good Morning America and you could see all the people watching through the window. We loved it. I know I´m a city girl deep inside somewhere cause I couldn´t stop smiling! Next we went to Central Park. What a beautiful park. I have never seen so many joggers and bikers and handsome cabs (hi Rusty!). We walked around a bit, then we both laid down on a bench and took a 2 hour nap. It´s hard to tour NY with about half hour sleep the night before. Right next to the park was the Trump Tower. We wanted to go inside, but we didn´t think they let hicks from Monroe in there. Ha ha.
Next we took a cab to the temple. It was only about a block and a half away. They don´t have a visitor center but we took the elevator to the third floor where they have pics of the temple and newspaper clippings of other LDS events. We also used the bathroom (it was nice to use a clean bathroom!). We started walking across the street and saw the Lincoln Center and then we saw IT. Could it be? Yes! It was Julliard. Cami freaked out. I think we actually saw a ballerina too. Wow. To top off our day, we saw a celebrity walking on the street. The guy from the walking dead (shane) was just strolling along with sunglasses on. He´s hot!
Next back on the subway and wait at JFK for another red eye to Barcelona! yeah.
