29 days

29 days until I go to see my sister in Spain. I can't believe it's finally here! My daughter and I have been talking and planning for this for the last 3 years. My sister, Pilar, actually lives in Andorra, a small country between Spain and France. We will be flying into Barcelona and she will pick us up. Cami graduates high school on May 25 and we leave on the 27th. I am going to figure out how to upload pics on here and do a daily entry so my family can all see what we are doing every day.
It is a beautiful sabbath day and the sun is out and it's finally finally warm! Cami and I have been going to the spanish branch so we can practice our spanish. It's a great experience and the spirit is so strong there. The primary kids have been so reverent the last couple of weeks. I love them and I love my calling. The spirit I feel from those sweet kids is amazing.
In other news, I have my final this Tuesday and I'm done till August!! YEAHHHHH.

Spinning

You either HATE spin class or you LOVE it. There is no in-between. I have tried to convert some friends and my daughter, but to no avail. I absolutely love it. It is the butt-kicking workout of my life and it helps me burn up those damn calories!! It also helps my mental health. I put my head down when it gets hard, close my eyes and just focus. It makes me really strong mentally. I figure if I can do a spin class, I can do anything. Working out has become my new religion. It is practically the only escape I have, except for reality TV. Biggest Loser, American Idol, Dance Moms and Dance Moms Miami!
In other news, only 2 more weeks of my class. I'm celebrating when it's over!!!! Oh, yeah, pedicure, massage, here I come. But I sent in my application for a scholarship today. If I get it I have to go full-time in the Fall. I hope I can do it.
Oh, and in more other news, my little kitty Alice was lost for about a week and we found her in the empty house across the street's window well. I'm so glad she is ok. She keeps cuddling us cause she is so happy to be home.

The "C" word

Cancer is a scary word. Well, my precious hubby got the news this week that he has a tumor in his bladder. My new nickname for him is Job, from the bible. Job got everything taken away and had all kinds of health problems to see if he would stay true to the faith, even after being stripped of everything. In the last year my husband has lost his job, been diagnosed with: arthritis in his elbow, atrial fibulation, degenerative disc disease, and now bladder cancer. I read all these blogs on the internet that are all happy, happy, crafty, trips, etc. Well my blog is all about CRAPPY NEWS!  I need to re-name it "crappy news blog!" I don't know how to write good stuff when it seems that it's all bad stuff. I'm trying to keep my chin up....
