We´re Here!

My niece and nephew, Keilani and Enzo. They are adorable.

The crossing guards are cute here!

This is the view right in front of Pilar´s house.

The floor at the airport in Barcelona. There was some sort of protest by the cleaning people at the airport and they did this. HUH?

Andorra is beautiful. I was trying to figure out how to describe it. And then it hit me! It is just the sort of town that Bell from Beauty and the Beast would live in. It´s very provincial and european. There are rock buildings and little rock streets and little farms with goats and chickens and the most beautiful clear rushing river. The water is straight out of the mountains, so it´s cold and clear. There is a nice walking trail next to the river that we ran on today. It´s right in from of Pilar´s house. Also I went to an aerobics class with Pilar and it was straight out of the 80´s. Including 80´s music. It was fun! Everyone is so nice here. I have been introduced to all of Pilar´s friends and they all must kiss me on both cheeks when we meet. So warm and friendly. And so unpretentious. No makeup, hair up, sweats, crocs. Very casual. And dropping your kid off at school is a social event. All the moms stop and visit and of course no one is in a hurry. I love the feel of it. The kids are all so adorable here. Keilani and Enzo have been so fun. Oh, and the icing on the cake is Pilar does massages, waxing, and facials in her home and I´m getting some treatments while I´m here. Yeah for me!

I´ll continue from yesterday. The subway was a wild ride and I´m so glad we did it. People from all over the world riding an underground train. Just jump across the platform and hang on! We got off the subway and there was the Empire State Building and Madison Square Garden. And a giant city to go with it. We walked around like tourists with our mouths open and looking in awe at everything (don´t be obvious or anything). We walked a few blocks to Times Square. It was just as you imagine, billboards, electronic billboards, people, people and more people. They were filming Good Morning America and you could see all the people watching through the window. We loved it. I know I´m a city girl deep inside somewhere cause I couldn´t stop smiling! Next we went to Central Park. What a beautiful park. I have never seen so many joggers and bikers and handsome cabs (hi Rusty!). We walked around a bit, then we both laid down on a bench and took a 2 hour nap. It´s hard to tour NY with about half hour sleep the night before. Right next to the park was the Trump Tower. We wanted to go inside, but we didn´t think they let hicks from Monroe in there. Ha ha.
Next we took a cab to the temple. It was only about a block and a half away. They don´t have a visitor center but we took the elevator to the third floor where they have pics of the temple and newspaper clippings of other LDS events. We also used the bathroom (it was nice to use a clean bathroom!). We started walking across the street and saw the Lincoln Center and then we saw IT. Could it be? Yes! It was Julliard. Cami freaked out. I think we actually saw a ballerina too. Wow. To top off our day, we saw a celebrity walking on the street. The guy from the walking dead (shane) was just strolling along with sunglasses on. He´s hot!
Next back on the subway and wait at JFK for another red eye to Barcelona! yeah.

My beautiful, multi-talented, dancing queen, smarty pants daughter graduated from SSHS yesterday. I'm so proud of her. Wow! All 4 of my kids have now graduated. Where did the time go? I remember Cami when she was a darling little red-headed baby. I am GETTING. DAMN. OLD. That's all I can say about that. Oh, and the second picture you can see my evil eye. I should have tilted my head the other way, it seems to make the evil eye go away.
Tomorrow is the big Spain/NYC trip!! Yeah, I'm going to be posting pics and blogging as much as I can on here so my family can keep updated. I hope they don't get bored to death. You know, like when you go to church and someone has the bright idea that getting the RS and Priesthood together to watch an hour of slides from someone's mission and you just want to be a heathen and go home and eat chips on the couch because if you have to look at one more slide your gonna gouge your eyes out! Yeah, like that.

Yeah!! I uploaded a picture to my blog! Maybe I'm not so computer illiterate like I thought. This is a picture of my two adorable grandkids, Drake and Drew. I bought them these matching jammies for Easter, 2012. Drake Matthew Dyreng is the son of Casey (my daughter) and Matt Dyreng. He was born December 6, 2010. Drew Kiefer Harmon is the son of Christine (my daughter) and Dave Harmon. He was born March 7, 2009. I love those boys to pieces! They are such fun little guys and love each other so much. We went to Cedar City this week and took them swimming at the big aquatic center they have there. They are both fearless.
