Hormones

Why is my blog all about bad news?? Cause this year SUCKS so far. I'm in full blown menopause according to my gyno. Seriously? What else can happen? At least we don't live in tornado alley or hurricane country. We have food and shelter and health (sort of). My hubby has to have his elbow scoped next week. His stress is manifesting in health issue, I just know it.
Reading my share of motivational things to help me. Pres. Hinckley said "Be believing, be happy, don't get discouraged. Things will work out." (made me cry) Kevin Sharp (country singer) said "When life is easy, we don't learn." (made me cry) That inspirational girl who is a surfer that got her arm bit off by a shark was on Biggest Loser last night (made me cry) New Testament "And he said unto me, My ^agrace is sufficient for thee: for my ^bstrength is made perfect in ^cweakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may ^drest upon me.

I cry every day now. Can't help it. I know I know that there are people that have it so much worse off than us right now.

Now for some good news - saw my darling baby grandson last night (he stayed the night) Drakey boy! My other darling grandson is 3! Such a big boy. So grateful they are both healthy. It's spring in Utah!! Which mean basically that it will snow one day and be 70 degrees the next. But we are inching closer to summer and only one more month of my college class. Yeah for summer.

Life

Wow! So many things to catch up on with life on here. We went to CA presidents day weekend to see my mom. She had an angiogram the next week and I wanted to see her before she had it. My mom is the TOUGHEST human being I know. She has been through coming here from Cuba (9 months pregnant with me), single motherhood, 2 heart surgeries, and just a really tough life, and she is till kicking! She had a 20-hour heart valve replacement surgery about 6 years ago and her doctor said she is his "star" patient and he talks about her whenever he gives lectures. It was so warm in CA!! We brought home a giant box of oranges! YEAH.
This last week was a tough one for me. Teenage daughter problems, I'm recovering from my 3rd! stomach surgery, soooo much to do, worried about money, etc. Life can be so stressful and hard sometimes. But I know that it's all about attitude. I am going to have a better week this week for sure. I talked to my sister and she gave me some good advice. She quit smoking a couple months ago and she has had a struggle. She said she wakes up everyday and says a prayer and makes an effort to stay positive cause she knows that sh** is going to happen, but our attitude is everything. It really helped me.
My darling, wonderful grandson's birthday is this week. He is turning 3! I love that little guy.
Man, found a new show I'm addicted to! Million Dollar Listing. I wanna live in a million dollar house that overlooks Malibu! yeah, in my dreams Emmie....
